Learn more about our BRC certification
Our History
Food safety and quality are paramount at National Raisin Company. In 2010 we became BRC-certified by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and continue to hold this certification today. The British Retail Consortium is part of the Global Food Safety Initiative collaboration between some of the world's leading food safety experts. The Initiative sets requirements and seeks harmony for food safety schemes through a benchmarking process in order to enhance food safety, ensure consumer protection, and to strengthen consumer confidence. To these ends, National meets or exceeds the strict standards established by the world's most respected accrediting organizations:
The BRC (British Retail Consortium) provides a leading product safety and quality certification program used by food suppliers in over 100 countries. The program is so thorough that it often eliminates the need for retailers and manufacturers to carry out their own quality audits. By adhering to the BRC's suite of four industry-leading technical standards, we demonstrate our ability to produce, package, store and distribute our products with consistent safety and quality.
